In the global market, the price of gold fell by $14 per ounce, closing at $2,661. This drop influenced the local bullion market, where the cost of 24-carat gold decreased by Rs1,400 per tola, bringing it to Rs277,900. The price for 10 grams also went down by Rs1,201 to reach Rs238,254. On the other hand, silver prices stayed stable. The cost of one tola of silver remained unchanged at Rs3,350, while the price for 10 grams was consistent at Rs2,872.08. Local jewelers pointed to the variations in the international market as the reason for the decline in gold prices, which typically shapes the trends in the domestic market.
