PM: Skilled Youth Will Drive Job Opportunities Growth
Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif emphasized that providing young people with professional skills is crucial for enhancing job prospects, and the government is proactively pursuing a strategy to lower unemployment by boosting the private sector.
He said the “Uraan Pakistan” initiative would generate new job opportunities nationwide. The prime minister presided over a meeting regarding his Youth Programme, which was attended by Minister for Economic Affairs Ahad Khan Cheema, Chairman of the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan, Minister of State for IT Shaza Fatima Khawaja, and senior officials from relevant departments, as reported by the PM Office Media Wing.

In the meeting, the prime minister called for developing a strategy that aligns with the market needs of friendly nations to create job opportunities for youth abroad while also urging action against fraudulent and unlicensed companies that offer overseas employment. “NAVTTC and the Prime Minister’s Youth Skill Development Programme must contribute to advancing technical and vocational skills. The future of Pakistan is closely tied to the growth of the IT sector,” the press release reported the prime minister.

The Prime Minister was briefed on the creation of a platform called “the Prime Minister Digital Youth Hub,” which will offer information about employment and other services to young people. He instructed that the Digital Youth Hub should be available in English, Urdu, and all other regional languages to ensure its accessibility to the public.
In the meeting, the prime minister received an update on the advancements of the Prime Minister’s Youth Employment Plan, initiatives to prepare the workforce with the skills needed in the global market, and additional projects.
