PIA’s UK Flights Expected to Restart Soon, Says Ishaq Dar
Deputy Prime Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar has announced to the Senate that flights operated by Pakistan International Airlines to the United Kingdom are expected to restart in the next two to three months.
In response to a calling attention notice from Sherry Rehman concerning the grounding of PIA aircraft amid an unclear privatization strategy, the Deputy Prime Minister stated that every effort is being made to restore PIA’s flights to the UK.

He mentioned that a team from UK Aviation is scheduled to visit Pakistan by the end of January for an on-site assessment.
He indicated that the national airline’s losses have surpassed 650 billion rupees.
He explained that the privatization process for PIA is being conducted transparently, with all proceedings broadcast live. By the law, the government rejected the bids that were below the set reserve price.
The Deputy Prime Minister assured that the privatization of PIA is moving forward and that significant work is taking place in this area.
Pakistan, Hong Kong Commit to Strengthening Economic Relations
Ishaq Dar noted that services to France have resumed on 22 of the 22 operational flights following the government’s vigorous efforts.
