Pakistan Announces 15-Player Squad for West Indies Test
The squad has gone through seven modifications from the 15-member Test crew that Lahore fielded: A 15-player team for the 2 ICC World Test Championship Tests towards the West Indies, which can be scheduled to be contested in Multan from January 17-21 and January 25-29, became introduced by way of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Saturday.
Seven alterations were implemented within the squad and seven within the team from the 15-member Test crew that toured South Africa.
Shan Masood (captain), Saud Shakeel (vice-captain), Babar Azam, Kamran Ghulam, Khurram Shahzad, Mohammad Rizwan, Noman Ali, and Salman Ali Agha are the players who’ve been retained.
Off-spinner Sajid Khan and mysterious spinner Abrar Ahmed have been summoned to partner with left-arm spinner Noman Ali to enhance the spin department. The openers Imam-ul-Haq and Mohammad Huraira had been reinstated, replacing the injured Saim Ayub and the out-of-form Abdullah Shafique.
The pace quartet of Aamir Jamal, Mohammad Abbas, Mir Hamza, and Naseem Shah has been rested as a factor of burden management. The selectors have retained Khurram Shahzad, recalled Mohammad Ali, and included uncapped Kashif Ali of their region.Rohail Nazir, the former captain of Shaheen’s and Pakistan U19, has been included in the squad in the region of wicketkeeper-batsman Haseebullah, who suffered a fracture in his proper hand webbing throughout the Cape Town Test.
