Upset Over Cousin’s Wedding, Youth Files False Forced Marriage Report
LODHRAN: A young man has been apprehended for falsely alleging that his cousin was being forced into marriage after discovering that she was to wed someone else, as reported by a police spokesperson on Wednesday. The spokesperson stated, “The young man claimed that the girl was being married against her will.” It was further noted that the individual, who is from Kahror Pakka, had intentions of marrying his cousin.
Upon the police’s arrival at the scene, it was determined that the marriage had occurred with the girl’s full consent. The spokesperson also mentioned that the young man had contacted the police helpline 15 to report the fabricated claim regarding the girl’s marriage. Consequently, the suspect has been arrested, and a case has been filed against him under the Telegraph Act, according to police reports.
