Marriyum Aurangzeb Reviews Performance of Ministries and Departments in Key Meeting
Punjab’s Senior Minister, Marriyum Aurangzeb, has chaired meetings to review the performance of various ministries and departments.
During the meeting, the emphasis was on implementing and progressing notable initiatives announced by Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz for Agriculture, Solar Energy, and the Industrial Revolution in Punjab.
Marriyum Aurangzeb stated that the Chief Minister had ordered the distribution of 10,000 tractors to farmers at subsidized rates by February 28, alongside an additional 2,000 super seeders to be distributed by March.

She mentioned that the Chief Minister had also directed that the program designed to provide free solar energy to citizens should be accelerated and broadened.
A significant decision was made to transition government buildings to solar power, and the renewable energy project is planned to be completed by June.

It was also resolved to revive the citrus fruit industry and establish a model agricultural property in Punjab.
The meeting concluded with plans to assist farmers in boosting production and exports. The Punjab government has also committed an extra Rs 6 billion to promote solar energy.
Furthermore, it was determined that establishing a fund to generate electricity from waste would be finalized by March.
Participants were informed that 5,000 farmers had already received the Chief Minister Kisan Card.
The Provincial Minister indicated that Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has set a March deadline for completing the ‘garment cities’ project in Punjab.
A directive has also been issued to conduct a feasibility study to create a 300-acre industrial and technology park in Narowal and a technology university in Kasur.
