Margaret Qualley, an actress from the United States, disclosed which actor left her father, Paul, star-struck at the Golden Globes.
She shared her experience at the event during her appearance on the Happy Sad Confused podcast hosted by Josh Horowitz. The Maid actress was nominated for Best Supporting Actress for her performance in The Substance.
Sharing that Paul was particularly eager to meet Adam Sandler, she mentioned, “I think this is true for many people, but in my family, Adam Sandler is the ultimate guy. You aspire to be like him. You dream of marrying him. … He’s the greatest.” The actress said her father was too stunned to speak, recalling, “My dad met Sandler, and he was like, ‘I can’t even talk to you, man. I can’t even talk to you.’ It was the most adorable thing I’ve ever witnessed.”
The host quickly consented, noting that Sandler is “the kind of person you hope he is.” At the awards ceremony, the older Qualley wore a shirt that referenced his daughter’s initial role. He expressed his affection for her and stated he was “extremely proud” of her, “I always have been, ever since she was little.”
