Khawaja Asif Calls for Ongoing Dialogue with PTI to Address Political Challenges
ISLAMABAD—Khawaja Muhammad Asif, the Minister for Defense, stated on Monday that the continuation of dialogue with the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) would facilitate the resolution of political issues.He told a private television channel that PTI must demonstrate seriousness and provide a written charter of demand without squandering time.
“The founder of PTI is desperately seeking assistance from a foreign country and is seeking an individual to reclaim power,” he stated.He stated that the commanders of the Pakistan Taliban in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa had employed official resources to launch an attack on the Center.
He stated that the chief minister, KP, was accountable for using official funds to enhance governance in the Kurram and Parachinar regions.He stated that Pakistan’s sovereignty and defense requirements would not be compromised in response to foreign pressure.
In response to a query regarding the reservation of coalition partners [PPP], he stated that political differences are a component of the democratic system and that the government would resolve all coalition partner reservations through negotiations.
