ISLAMABAD: On Wednesday, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar reassured Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah of the federal government’s dedication to the complete and prompt release of funds for all approved initiatives in the province.

Murad was joined by Pakistan Peoples Party MNA Syed Naveed Qamar, the Sindh planning minister, the chief secretary, the P&D chairman, and the finance secretary.
The meeting also included Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb and relevant federal division secretaries, as stated in a press release from the DPM Office. During the discussion, they thoroughly examined the ongoing development initiatives within the Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) for Sindh.
They also discussed the issues concerning funding, implementation, and approvals of the reviewed projects, especially those related to road connectivity, water storage, educational infrastructure, and housing.
They evaluated the status of approval and execution of the projects.
They concurred that the prompt completion of initiatives within the sanctioned budget was essential for Sindh province’s growth and its residents’ well-being. Dar further confirmed that the CDWP and Ecnec would swiftly address any increases in the costs of ongoing projects for their decisions.
