SIFC Emphasizes Energy Growth: Orders JJVL to Clear Dues Before Gas Supply Resumes
The prompt attention to revitalizing the inactive facilities of Jamshoro Joint Venture Limited and Sui Southern Gas Company is currently being evaluated.
The SIFC has mandated that both companies establish a revenue-sharing agreement by January.
Since the facility halted operations in June 2020, a loss of 432 million dollars in Foreign Exchange has been incurred, impacting 5,000 jobs.
The SIFC has ordered JJVL to settle all outstanding dues before the facility’s gas supply resumes.
The revival of the JJVL facility is anticipated to enhance energy production and lower LPG prices.
The plant restoration will fulfil the energy requirements for 750,000 households across Pakistan, including Sindh.
The activation of JJVL, with the backing of SIFC, is projected to influence the nation’s economy positively.
