Rachael Kirkconnell Reminisces on Tokyo Trip with Ex Matt James

Rachael Kirkconnell doesn’t shy from a photo snap even though her trip to Tokyo ended on a positive note.

The Bacheloralum 28, who is 28 years old, took to Instagram with a montage of pictures she and Matt James took during their recent trip to Tokyo before their sudden breakup.

The carousel started with a snap of Kirkconnell smiling at the camera while seated in a restaurant–seemingly captured by James.

Kirkconnell also included other pictures from herself within the slide show, which was filled with sushi images and markets; however, James did not appear in the photo dump.

She captioned her post with: “Still you Tokyo.”

Another image that seemed to reference her ex-boyfriend was a photo of two drinks with chocolate on a table.

The carousel image was posted after the former Bachelorette spoke out about the breakup on Instagram and claimed she was astonished.

Kirkconnell has also spoken about the breakup on the latest episode of the show Call Her Daddy two weeks after their split. When she learned about James’s breakup post, she revealed she was traveling returning from Tokyo.

“The plane is taking off, and I see his post. That’s it,” the reality TV star explained. “I don’t have any service or anything for the next 12 hours, so I’m freaking out because, you know, just got broken up with, and now, a few hours later, it’s for the whole world to see, and I’m still trying to process it.”

Kirkconnell also admitted to having an emotional night before they split up.

“The night before, we didn’t have an argument, but I was feeling very overwhelmed,” Kirkconnell explained, explaining that they had filmed “literally every single meal” due to “his career.”

Kirkconnell also shared her story of being “overwhelmed with looking for a dinner spot for an hour. ” However, when she sought James’ assistance, James refused, saying, “It doesn’t matter.”

The main discussion occurred the next day after a few more tension-filled moments during dinner. The conversation grew more significant.

“There were just qualities about me that he worries about having in a wife,” Kirkconnell explained to the host.

James broke up with her, and Kirkconnell immediately headed into the air to return to Atlanta. She was stunned to find James’s breakup on January 14 post as she was working through the situation. “I’m still in total shock,” she wrote. “I think that’s why I didn’t say anything. Still haven’t made a statement because I’m processing this just like everyone else.”
