Pakistani Delegation Takes Part in Harvard Model United Nations Dubai 2025
DUBAI, JAN 14 (DNA) — The Harvard University International Relations Council (IRC), in partnership with World View Education, hosted the Harvard Model United Nations (HMUN) Dubai 2025 from January 11 to 13 at the Le Meridien Hotel & Conference Center.
The conference gathered over 1,000 students from 73 different institutions across 48 nations. Among the attendees, 87 delegates represented various universities from Pakistan. Students from C.A.S. School Karachi, Learning Alliance Lahore, Cadet College Hassan Abdal, Lahore Grammar School, and Roots International attended this event.
Pakistani students achieved recognition in the most significant committees at the conference, receiving the Best Small Delegation Award. Ambassador Faisal Niaz Tirmizi, Pakistan’s Representative to the UAE, and Mr.
Hussain Muhammad, the Consul General of Pakistan in Dubai, expressed their support and encouragement for the Pakistani teams. Ambassador Faisal Niaz Tirmizi visited the venue during the event, interacting with delegates from Pakistan and other participating nations.

While addressing the Pakistani delegates, he underscored the importance of soft diplomacy and education in determining Pakistan’s future. He encouraged the students to be catalysts for positive change, embracing innovation and inclusivity.
The Harvard IRC team acknowledged Ambassador Tirmizi with a token of appreciation. Mr. Umer Sharfuddin spearheaded the C.A.S. School delegation that visited the Consul General at the Consulate General of Pakistan in Dubai. Consul General Mr. Hussain Muhammad welcomed the C.A.S. School team for lunch at the Pakistan Consulate, providing an in-depth overview of the consulate’s roles and responsibilities.

He engaged with the students, sharing insights about the diplomatic mission’s function in advocating for Pakistan’s interests in the UAE. He emphasized the significance of creating platforms to empower Pakistani youth and enhance their international presence.
