Honhaar Scholarships: Punjab CM Announces Increased Scholarship for Students
Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has declared a fifty thousand dollar increase in the upcoming fiscal year’s budget for the Honhaar Scholarship.
She announced while speaking at an Honhaar Scholarship Distribution Ceremony at Government College Women’s University in Sialkot.
She further mentioned that laptops will be given to all students achieving more than sixty-five percent marks.
Maryam Nawaz stated that Honhaar Scholarships will be awarded to second and third-year students based on merit, ensuring no discrimination.
She also shared that one hundred thousand E-Bikes will be distributed to students.
Honhaar Scholarship Programme
Scholarships will be provided to students from 30,000 public and 10,000 private schools throughout Punjab, focusing on 18,000 female students to promote increased female involvement in education.

Laptop Scheme Updates
The initial batch of laptops has been received and will be distributed shortly. The focus will be on deserving students, especially those from minority groups and high academic achievers. A total of 2,000 laptops will be designated for students from underrepresented backgrounds, and those who excel in matriculation and intermediate exams will be awarded laptops accompanied by a “guard of honor.”
Laptop Specifications
The laptops available through the Honhaar Laptop Scheme will include 13th-generation Core i7 models, guaranteeing that students can utilize the most advanced technology for their educational requirements.
Distribution Timeline
On November 20, CM Maryam Nawaz directed officials to finish the laptop distribution process within 90 days to guarantee prompt delivery to deserving students.
