Tri-Nation Series Set to Kick Off in Lahore on February 8
On Saturday, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) released the schedule of the three-nation ODI series featuring New Zealand and South Africa.
It will occur on a single league basis starting February 8 and running until 14. Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium hosted the opening two games, and Karachi’s National Stadium staged the league’s final match in the series final.
Pakistan and New Zealand will kick off the series at the famous Gaddafi Stadium on Saturday, February 8. The first game is set to be played around 2 pm (PST).
New Zealand will face South Africa on Monday, February 10, in a day game, with the first toss scheduled for 9 am.
The action shifts to Karachi in Pakistan, where Pakistan will face South Africa on February 12 in a day/night game at the National Stadium, starting at 2 pm. The final will occur on Friday, February 14, 2015, and the first ball will be played at around 2 pm.
Under lighting, Pakistan and New Zealand are scheduled to train at the Gaddafi Stadium on Thursday, February 6. South Africa’s first appearance at the stadium will occur on the morning of February 9.
In an official statement released, the PCB stated that the four games scheduled for Gaddafi Stadium and National Stadium will provide the three teams with a great chance to finish arrangements for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025.
Furthermore, as the PCB declared, the event could also be an ideal opportunity for the board to present its newly designed and renovated stadiums to the globe with its top-quality broadcast.
As stated in the statement, the Gaddafi Stadium has increased capacity by installing new seating all over the stadium. In addition, 480 LED lights have been put in place to improve the LUX of broadcasts, providing a better watching experience for fans across the globe.
To further enhance the visitor experience, two massive digital replay screens of 80 feet x 30 feet and 22 feet by 35 feet were installed.
A brand new hospitality enclosure for officials and players is close to completion, ensuring that the famous stadium is operational and ready to provide the best experience to all involved.
Significant enhancements have been made to the National Stadium, including building a new enclosure for hospitality for officials and players in the University End.
To increase the coverage of broadcasts, 350 LED lights were installed to ensure the best visibility for viewers across the globe. Two screens for digital replay have been installed, and 5,000 chairs have been installed to increase viewers’ comfort.
