Security Forces Eliminate 9 Khwarij in North Waziristan
ISLAMABAD: Security forces have eliminated nine Khawarij in two different encounters in the North Waziristan District, as reported by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Sunday. “An intelligence-based operation was executed by security forces on 11th January in the Dosalli area of North Waziristan, following reports of Khawarij activity,” the ISPR stated. “During the operation, troops successfully targeted the Khawarij location, resulting in the deaths of six Khawarij, while two were captured,” the statement noted.

In another intelligence-based operation in the Esham area of North Waziristan District, following a fierce exchange of gunfire, three Khawarij were neutralized by the security forces, with two Khawarij sustaining injuries. Weapons and ammunition were also seized from the deceased Khawarij, who was known to be involved in various terrorist activities against security forces and the targeted killing of innocent civilians.

Sanitization operations are ongoing to eliminate any other Khawarij in the area, as Pakistan’s security forces remain committed to eradicating the threat of terrorism from the country. President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif praised the security forces for their successful endeavors against Khawarij in North Waziristan.

In his remarks, the president reiterated the government’s commitment to fully eradicate terrorism within the country. He highlighted that security forces are actively conducting operations to eliminate the terror threat, ensuring peace and safety for the nation. He believed these counter-terrorism initiatives would create a peaceful and secure future for Pakistan.
In his statement, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif affirmed that the nation stands in solidarity with security forces in their battle against terrorism. He reiterated the government’s determination to persist in the fight against terrorism until it is entirely vanquished from the country. Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi also commended the security forces for their successful operation against Khawarij militants in North Waziristan, which resulted in the death of nine terrorists, marking a significant victory in the ongoing fight against terrorism.
Minister Naqvi praised the security forces for their bravery and commitment in a statement. “We commend the security forces for sending nine Khawarij terrorists to their end,” he stated. “Once again, our valiant forces have thwarted the malicious plans of these terrorists.” He underlined the steadfast support of the nation for the armed forces, stating, “The entire nation stands united with the security forces in the war against terrorism,” adding that the sacrifices and courage of the troops are a source of national pride.
Emphasizing the necessity of their continued success, the minister concluded, “The nation admires and respects the accomplishments of our security forces.” This operation highlights the government’s determination to uphold peace and stability in the region while delivering a strong message to those who threaten the country’s security.
