Sargodha ATC Reserves Verdict on Omar Ayub’s Acquittal Pleas
Sargodha: The Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) in Sargodha has postponed its decision on the requests for acquittal submitted by opposition leader Omar Ayub and others in six cases concerning the incidents of May 9. The ATC reviewed cases filed in Mianwali against Omar Ayub, Opposition Leader of the Punjab Assembly Malik Ahmad Khan Bhachar, Aliya Hamza, Sanam Javed, and others. More than 150 defendants from different regions attended the court session. Defense attorneys completed their arguments for acquittal on behalf of the accused, including Omar Ayub, Malik Ahmad Khan Bhachar, Aliya Hamza, Sanam Javed, and Bilal Ejaz Chattha. The court granted their requests for exemption from attending this session but instructed them to ensure their presence at the next hearing. The case has been adjourned until January 17 for further actions.
