He chaired a meeting to assess the actions taken to combat human smuggling.

The Prime Minister stated that stringent legal measures would be enforced against individuals who damage the country’s reputation by engaging in the abhorrent trade of human trafficking.

He instructed that the FIA’s personnel shortages be addressed promptly and that an effective passenger screening system be established at airports.

The Prime Minister directed the information ministry to initiate a robust awareness campaign regarding human trafficking and unlawful foreign travel.

He instructed the FIA to collaborate with Interpol to facilitate the extradition of the most sought-after human smugglers.

The meeting also included a briefing on the actions implemented against human traffickers.
