Pakistan-Azerbaijan Joint Commission Begins, Showing Promising Progress
January 23rd 2025 (MLN) The meeting will enhance collaboration in the key areas. The 8th session of the Joint Commission (JC) between Pakistan and Azerbaijan began today.
The first session included officials of both parties.
Day one of JC began with discussions at a technical level covering a broad range of crucial sectors, such as transportation, energy trade, and economic collaboration.
Other topics discussed include defence industries, ICT and digital governance, banking and banking, agriculture tourism, food security and youth sports education, culture, the sciences, health, hydrometeorology, climate change, the delivery of public services, as well as social innovation.

Both sides have made notable advancements in completing bilateral protocols and exploring various cooperating areas, as per today’s press release.
Mrs. Sabina Qureshi, Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Economic Affairs, emphasized the importance of the JC in building stronger relations between Pakistan and Azerbaijan.
The finalization of the protocol will yield tangible results and open the door to greater collaboration.
A plenary session, chaired jointly by Khawaja Muhammad Asif, Pakistan’s Minister of Defence Production, and H.E. Vugar Valeh Oglu Mustafayev, Minister of Defence Industry of Azerbaijan, is scheduled to take place on January 24th 2025.
The discussion will enhance collaboration in trade, defence and other strategic areas.
