Hugh Jackman Shares His Grievance with ‘Deadpool and Wolverine’
Hugh Jackman, an Australian actor, recently hosted the inaugural evening of the concert series From New York, With Love, in which he spoke about a nagging issue regarding his film Deadpool and Wolverine.
“It was an incredible movie, I did it with two of my closest friends, Ryan Reynolds and Shawn Levy, the director. And listen, everything about it was kind of perfect. The experience, well, almost perfect. I had one little gripe, sorry Ryan to bring it up,” he said.
In the scene where Deadpool is dancing to the tune Bye Bye Bye, he added, “Ryan and Shawn were writers on the movie and the opening of the movie had this dance sequence, I don’t know if you saw it. It had the character of Deadpool dancing to an *NSYNC song.”
While he acknowledged that he didn’t “have to be in every frame of the movie,” He found it odd to see the two actors at times together “except for the dance sequence.”
“I mean, that’s one area where I kind of — I just have a little bit of experience,” the actor laughed.
He opted to perform a short performance of his own: “I’m not gonna do you the original incredible choreography by Darrin Henson, I’m certainly not gonna try and match Ryan’s dance double Nick Pauley.”
