Cameron Diaz Considering Retirement from Acting After Latest Disappointing Experience?
Cameron Diaz might step away from Hollywood completely following her return to acting in Back in Action. Recently, Diaz criticized the film industry for having strict guidelines on filmmaking and commended Demi Moore for defying those norms with her role in The Substance, which earned her a Golden Globe and an Oscar nomination.
An industry source has informed Radar Online: “Cam has just re-entered the film scene and is already condemning the system.”
They continued: “She appears ready for another hiatus. This time, it may be a permanent one. It seems she’s unhappy with how Hollywood continues to produce films.” Diaz and her fellow Charlie’s Angels cast members recently gathered with Demi — who portrayed the villainous former Angel Madison Lee in the 2003 film Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle — to discuss Demi’s role in The Substance.

Diaz remarked to Moore: “All women are socialized to be objectified. Period. Whether we are celebrities or not, it affects every woman.”
“It’s more pronounced in our situations because we are shown on screen and objectified. Dolls have even been made in our likeness. It’s deeply ingrained. We bow to that. We cater to that objectification. We strive to fulfil its demands in numerous ways,” The Holiday actress reflected.
“In witnessing your portrayal, you don’t seek anyone’s permission. It’s as if there were a set of rules established in the film industry that everyone has followed for countless decades,” she remarked, applauding those who created The Substance. “You all came in and completely dismantled it and said, I do not accept this rule book. We are revising it.
Furthermore, we will do it in the boldest, most outrageous, and most chaotic manner imaginable,” she added. After a ten-year hiatus, Cameron Diaz has made her return to acting. She signed a two-film agreement with Netflix and appeared in Back in Action alongside Jamie Foxx.
