Boosting IT Exports: PM Commends Efforts to Reach $25B by 2030

Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has expressed his satisfaction with the initiatives being undertaken to increase Information Technology exports to 25 billion dollars over the next five years and urged the relevant agencies to enhance the I.T. infrastructure to meet this goal.

While presiding over a meeting focused on the I.T. sector in Islamabad, the Prime Minister instructed the appropriate authorities to simplify the existing right-of-way regulations further to foster the expansion of broadband services via fiber optics nationwide.

He also emphasized the importance of offering I.T. training to the youth in accordance with international standards, which would enable them to secure employment opportunities abroad more easily.

The Prime Minister directed that the process for issuing visas for business individuals interested in investing in Pakistan’s I.T. sector be streamlined.
