Bollywood Star Saif Ali Khan Returns Home After Knife Attack by Intruder
MUMBAI, Jan 21 – Bollywood star Saif Ali Khan was released from a Mumbai hospital on Tuesday, just days after he sustained knife injuries during a confrontation with an intruder at his residence, according to local media reports.
Khan, aged 54, was stabbed six times by the intruder during an attempted break-in at his home shortly after midnight on Thursday. Following the incident, he underwent surgery due to stab wounds on his spine, neck, and hands, as reported by doctors.
He left the hospital on Tuesday afternoon, smiling at the news cameras from his car and waving his hand, which was wrapped in bandages. On Sunday, police detained a man believed to be a Bangladeshi national in connection with the assault, and their investigation into the crime is ongoing.

The individual, apprehended on the outskirts of Mumbai, was using the alias Vijay Das but is thought to be Mohammad Shariful Islam Shehzad, who began working for a housekeeping agency after arriving in the city five or six months ago, as stated by police deputy commissioner Dikshit Gedam during a press briefing.
The incident involving Khan has alarmed the residents of Mumbai and fellow actors in Bollywood, particularly due to the fact that it occurred in a high-end neighborhood within a well-secured apartment complex.
