Blackpink’s Jisoo Reveals Details of a Failed Date with Park Jung Min
Jisoo from the K-pop band Blackpink has appeared in an interview on the YouTube channel Studio Chika Chika to promote her upcoming show, Newtopia.
On the TV show, she appears with Park Jung Min as a young couple who break apart at the start of the zombie apocalypse. They must fight for their lives to return to their former selves.
On the show, the duo stated that they were ready to take a couple of pictures for the show as the show’s director recommended they set a date for when they would go on a trip with the photos.
When they decided to visit Lotte World, they encountered difficulties trying to ensure that the singer wasn’t noticed. However, the lengths to which they went for concealment resulted in the photos not appearing very romantic.
Newtopia’s trailer Newtopia came out earlier in the month and received mixed reviews from viewers.
Several users have taken to The Qoo to express their concern about Jisoo’s character in the show. As one user wrote, “It reminds me of Cha Eunwoo’s performance. If the show is entertaining, people will still watch it even while protesting.”
Another said, “Why does Jisoo keep trying to be a character? She’s terrible at acting. Her voice and delivery aren’t appropriate for acting at all.”
The series will debut on February 7 at February 7 on Coupang Play and will also be available to stream via Amazon Prime.
